Description
Howard and Lauren had planned this trip to Zimbabwe with great enthusiasm.
As the truck pulled the caravan lazily over the serpentine road that meandered between the lake and the jungle, Lauren turned to her right. Through a grove of comforting banyan trees and amidst towering coconut trees, she could admire the setting sun, squashing over the lake like an overripe tomato. As the truck picked up speed to negotiate a low gradient slope of the road, the banyan trees gave way to an open space covered with tall grasses. In the face of the setting sun, the top of the grasses, already crowned with gold, waved under the soft breeze as though bidding farewell to the couple.
But when they suddenly decided to stop in the lay-by adjacent to that dense African jungle, their life took an incredible twist.
